A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night

Last night was the first time in awhile that I saw such a refreshingly eerily and quirky film. Perhaps its because its all in Farsi (english subtitles included), perhaps its the cinematography, perhaps its because I'm persian but most likely its because Ana Lily Amirpour is a bad ass. As a female director & iranian at that, she struck a cord with me with this film. I highly recommend taking your butt to the theater & seeing this before the week is over. Does help that its being shown at the lovely Nuart theater. You can get your tickets here.
