Bahai Temple
If you ever catch yourself in Chicago, I highly recommend making your way to Wilmette, Illinois. It's home to the majestic Bahai House of Worship. If you aren't aware, the Bahai faith is the worldβs newest independent global belief system, teaching oneness, unity, justice, love, altruism and harmony of all religions. The teachings promote the agreement of science and religion, the equality of men & women and the eradication of all forms of prejudice and racism. And since Bahaβis have no clergy or churches, everyone is welcome to join and independently investigate the religion for themselves. So no need to be a bahai to enter this marvellous dome structure. Being the only Bahai temple in the United States, makes it unique in its own right. Architecturally it is made up of nine sides, surrounded by lush gardens and calming fountains, making it a great spot to sit and enjoy the intricate details of this edifice. Its even been dubbed by the Illinois Office of Tourism as the "Seven Wonders of Illinois." Included some pics from my visit.
